Pip was the result of a breeding of my beloved Louie to my beloved Eva. She was a clone of her grandmama, Idgie, who had an incredible connection with Pip from the time she was born. Idgie mentored her in the four and a half months they knew one another and I truly believe there is a piece of Idgie that remained with Pip throughout her life. Pip was Mother Earth just like Idgie was. She was the matriarch of our family for over 13 years. She was our family loud talker to all who greeted her or took the time to have a conversation and was loved by so many. A chapter closed with her passing - the last one to know the original Nycoma Way family: the Vermont Nycoma Way family. She let us know it was time on the same day I spent the last night in my Vermont home all those years ago. She bridged my life to the future, being the first Nycoma Way puppy to meet my soulmate and best friend, my dear James. We give our heartfelt thanks to Pip for all she gave to us, to her pups, and to our family.

Pip was a slow maturer like her papa Louie, and she only got better with age. She had many lovely Specialty placements but the icing on the cake was in 2016 when, at age 5 1/2, she won back to back Specialty Winners Bitch and Best of Winners at the Labrador Retriever Club of Greater Boston; the same Specialty where her papa Louie finished his championship going Best in Specialty in 2010, and her grandmama Idgie went Winners Bitch and Best of Winners in 2005.

To this day I think of Pip and all she gave us: Andi and Duff from her first breeding to Ch. Lobuff Bobwhite at Chucklebrook, and Holly from her last breeding to Ch. Darling Hill Lobuff All That & Then Some. From there Andi brought us to our current generation through Joy. Blessed were we with Miss Pip.
