Born on an already memorable day full of angst, sadness, melancholy, and historical significance, our "Miracle Litter" brought us our own share of angst, anxious anticipation, hope, faith, and ultimately joy, hence the names of three of the girls we ran on from this litter.

We are blessed by what this litter brought us, being the only litter Andi will have. Memo and Andi clicked, and from here we move forward with our breeding program.

We experienced all the highs and lows of bringing a litter into this world and I couldn't have done it without my best friend and life partner, my dear James. While Andi was a rock star in the whelping box free whelping 13 puppies in 3.5 hours, we took it from there helping her keep up with feeding all the pups by bottle-feeding every two hours for three weeks. It paid off because here we are with all pups healthy and happy in their forever homes and Andi back to herself as the wonderful mama she was and still is.
The puppies were initially named after the characters in my favorite childhood book, The Fourteen Bears, along with three new boy names as there was only one baby boy bear in this story, Theodore. We had Flora, Dora, Emma, Anna, Henrietta, Theodore, Veronica, Virginia, and non-character names of Adam, Hans, and Henry.
